a letter from Education Otherwise
Many people have received a letter from the Trustees of Eo concerning the 116 application. This letter appears to have been sent to existing SUMs and also to many who are no longer members of EO.
The letter is in line with the statement made by the trustees both on the members forum and EO yahoo group concerning the number and validity of the members with voting rights (SUMs) and painting a very confused picture of the current situation.
This letter describes a situation that will cause concern to many members since it is suggested that their personal details are in imminent threat of being acquired by outside interests.
This is not factually correct, as is discussed in other pages on this site. The simple fact is that I, as a voting member of EO have requested details of other voting members so that democratic and open discussion can take place. The suggestion that this request will some how open the flood gate to all and sundry being able to have access to your details is manifestly untrue.
In this same letter the trustees of EO suggest that any one who objects to the release of the information to myself (the unidentified party) should write to EO lodging their complaint.
I believe that this letter misrepresents the truth of the situation and will cause members, both current and past, unnecessary concern and distress.
Betsy Anderson has put together her views on this issue and these can be viewed by clicking here
In the interests or redressing the balance I would like to ask that any person who does not object to the release of this information to me, Kevin Denton, could, if they wish send and email to response@takebackyourfreedom.co.uk confirming this.
Anyone who responds to this address may be assured of my solemn promise that the correspondence will be treated as confidential and will not be shared with anyone else without your prior consent. It would be helpful to redress the balance if I may be allowed to present this to the court as an indication of support, if you are agreeable to this please say so in your letter otherwise this will not be done with out your express permission.
I would confirm again that this information when received will not under any circumstances be shared with anyone other than Lizelle, my wife, who is also a voting member of EO. It will never be made available to other members or outside organisations, it will never be used for commercial purposes or to promote anything other than the reason I have stated - to enable proper and open communication between SUMs.
